WESSLING will support you in your building certification process. Building certifications aim to improve the quality of the indoor environment and have two main objectives: to enhance environmental performance and increase the value of the property by improving comfort and quality of life.
In order to improve the quality of private and professional life, we offer monitoring and support within the context of rating systems such as BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology), HQE (High Environmental Quality), LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and WELL Building Standard.
In this context, our experts carry out analyses of air and water quality and emission tests on materials and consumer products. Our tests allow you to have your buildings certified.
Specificities by certification
High Environmental Quality (HEQ) is linked to AFNOR’s “NF Ouvrage Démarche HQE” certification. It is a guarantee of your environmental commitment, while affirming comfort and healthy living conditions for the occupants of the building. WESSLING will support you by analysing parameters for HEQ certification.
Air quality for HEQ building certification
WESSLING combines its microbiological, chemical and emission testing expertise to offer you a complete range of indoor air analyses in non-residential tertiary sector buildings (offices, commerce, hotels, logistics, etc.). Based on the recommendations of the Certivea 2013 rating system for buildings of high environmental quality (Target 13), we invite you to assess the quality of your indoor air according to a number of parameters:
The quality of indoor air is subject to many parameters including the quality of the incoming air. This quality is partly ensured by good maintenance of ventilation systems.
According to the Certivea 2013 HQE rating system for tertiary sector buildings in use, dust levels and microbiological hygiene must be checked if possible at least every two years. This makes it possible to scientifically determine the need for cleaning or its effectiveness by sampling at various strategic points of a ventilation system.
WESSLING offers dust monitoring (according to Annexes H and I of standard NF 15780), the results of the mass of dust collected on a filter after suction, monitoring of microbiological contamination and the enumeration of total flora, mould and yeasts on a double-sided strip.
We also provide analytical expertise to help you to improve indoor air that represents an odour nuisance or causes irritation. Our screening investigation makes it possible to semi-quantitatively identify the pollutants in your indoor air using a database of more than 200,000 molecules (aldehydes, VOCs, alcohol, hydrocarbons, ketones, siloxanes, esters).
Depending on your needs, other analyses are possible. Don't hesitate to contact us.
Specificities by certification
The WELL Building Standard is a guarantee of good practice in the design, construction, furnishing and use of buildings, especially work spaces. Since 2014, WELL certification has been totally focused on the well-being and health of building occupants. This certification is based on the analysis of numerous parameters. WESSLING will analyse your indoor air and water quality parameters for you.
Specificities by certification
The BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) remains the most widely used environmental assessment certification for buildings across the globe.
BREEAM-certified buildings aim to provide a more sustainable environment, thus improving the standard of living of the people who live and work in them. They also help to protect natural resources and make real estate investment more attractive.
WESSLING will support you by carrying out formaldehyde evaluations and analyses according to the NF ISO 16000-3 standard and TVOC determinations (C6-C16) according to the NF ISO 16000-6 standard.
Analyses of indoor air and water quality as key factors in building certification
For your air analysis needs, we provide active and passive sampling solutions to identify physicochemical pollutants (formaldehyde, benzene, VOCs, etc.) while meeting the requirements of the main rating systems: HQE, WELL, BREEAM, LEED, DGNB, Osmoz, among others.
We combine our microbiological and physicochemical skills and know-how to provide you with expertise appropriate to your business sector, the legal framework and the relevant rating system. In addition, we offer you our know-how for sampling and analysing your microbiological parameters (total flora, yeasts, moulds, etc.).
To have your buildings certified, numerous criteria other than air quality must be taken into account and monitored. These include emissions from materials (construction, renovation, decoration and others) and water quality (drinkability, Legionella, presence of pesticides, etc.).
Did you know?
WESSLING is a pioneer in providing support during the building certification process. We are the first French laboratory in France to have participated in a “WELL Building Standard” certification. Take advantage of our years of expertise in indoor air and water quality analysis and offer premises that provide quality of life and optimal sanitary conditions for managers, staff and occupants.
