36 arbres symboliques pour la protection de l’environnement
55 colleagues from six countries cycled 7200 kilometres in just one week: We were overwhelmed by the incredible result of our first virtual WESSLING Biking Challenge this summer. There, our colleagues set an example for climate protection in several ways: For example, many of them cycled to work instead of driving.
In addition, WESSLING donates one tree for every 200 kilometres cycled – which means that 36 were raised through the campaign.
In the meantime, all the trees have been planted. Our sporty colleagues proved to have green thumbs as well - like our colleague Maria here at the Halle/Saale site. She alone had already contributed an incredible 609 kilometres. Five young trees were planted there.
15 trees were planted at the company headquarters in Altenberge, namely quince and apple trees as well as pine trees. Another cherry tree went as a thank you to the colleagues in France, more precisely to the Lyon site.
