For three generations, Létang Agriculture & Energie has been growing wheat, beets and potatoes. Today, the company produces biomethane from intermediate crops for energy purposes, as well as from cereal and vegetable crops. The gas produced by the company is then injected into the French natural gas distribution network.

In order to make the best use of the methanisation installations, the company calls on WESSLING to ensure that there are no biogas/biomethane leaks. To do this, WESSLING visits the Létang Services sites and identifies any losses using a thermal camera.
Nicolas Brouardelle, project manager at Létang Services, is behind the initiative, which he considers important to ensure that the methanisers are working properly: "The regulations do not yet require this approach, but we want to show our commitment and reassure our contacts: in fact, very few losses are detected."
Indeed, with this preventive approach, operators can react quickly to the rare losses that do occur. This initiative by Létang Services allows the company to calmly manage the ten or so installations it monitors on a daily basis.

In supporting methanisation units, Létang Services places great importance on cooperation with farmers and other stakeholders, who are actively involved in the projects in progress. This is what determined the choice for WESSLING: "Before, we worked with a larger company, but what convinced me at WESSLING was the human contact and the technical exchanges that we have. Robin T'JAMPENS and his team are conscientious and serious, they take the time to really take an interest in our project in order to provide us with the best possible support" explains Nicolas Brouardelle.

The first leak search campaign was carried out in 2020 with WESSLING. Following this convincing and positive experience, the cooperation continues today.
