Sustainable Development Week

In 2023 WESSLING France was involved in Sustainable Development Week between 18th September and 8th October 2023. The aim of this annual event is to make as many of our employees as possible aware of the challenges of sustainable development and to remind them that every action counts.

As part of this important event, we have set up a number of awareness-raising initiatives within our company. Our aim is to encourage our employees to become more involved in preserving the environment and resources. Here are the actions we have proposed this year:

1. Sharing best practice: We ran an internal communications campaign to raise awareness among our employees of best practice in reducing our environmental footprint. This includes showing how to reduce energy consumption on a daily basis, both at work and at home, and raising awareness of the impact of digital technology and energy use on our environment.

2. Provision of books on climate change: In order to enable all the people hired by WESSLING to develop their knowledge and understanding of environmental issues and climate change, we have set up a small library to provide a selection of informative books on this subject.

3. Taking stock of our employees' commuting habits. The aim is to understand their travel patterns, their questions about alternatives to the private car and the obstacles to using ‘soft’ transport. WESSLING France will then define an approach to make 'soft' travel more attractive on a daily basis.
