Analysis of the degree of alcohol in hydroalcoholic solutions and gels

Following regulatory changes and in order to support producers of hydroalcoholic solutions and hydroalcoholic gels, WESSLING analyses the concentration of ethanol in disinfectants products in its alcohol analysis laboratory.

Thanks to the expertise of its alcohol analysis laboratory, WESSLING carries out analyses of the percentage and degree of alcohol contained in hydroalcoholic solutions and gels using several methods, depending on the product being analysed. The results are returned in only 24 to 48 hours and allow customers to validate their batches and labelling quickly while respecting the regulatory deadline of May the 31st, 2020*.

The laboratory is COFRAC accredited (COFRAC accreditation n°1-5578, scope available on www.cofrac.fr) according to the programs LAB GTA 26 (Phthalates on spirit drinks), LAB GTA 78/78 (Wines) and LAB GTA 78/115 (Spirit drinks and other alcoholic beverages, ethanol of agricultural origin and dehydrated).

 

To continue the activity of the alcohol analysis laboratory at the WESSLING site in Paris, numerous measures have been taken to ensure the health and safety of the company's employees. Workstations in the laboratory have been set up to enable employees to maintain a minimum distance of two meters from each other; each employee is given a new mask, clean gloves and other necessary PPE on a daily basis. In addition, the WESSLING Group has given clear instructions regarding barrier gestures and hygiene rules to be respected. They are repeated daily and the management ensures that they are strictly applied in order to do everything possible to limit the spread of the virus and to ensure the health and safety of the employees.
