Measures against coronavirus

Read here about the availability of our laboratories and the measures taken to limit the impact of COVID-19.

08.04.2020 - Gradual activity resumption of our environmental laboratory as of April the 14th, 2020

Dear partners, customers and suppliers,

Following the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, we had previously taken responsible measures to limit the spread of the virus and best protect our employees and partners. The health of our employees remains the top priority for the WESSLING Group, and we therefore had decided to suspend the activity of our environmental laboratory on March the 17th.

Since then, our crisis management committee has been working together on a daily basis to monitor developments, adapt the necessary measures and take decisions to enable the best possible management of the situation. At the same time, we were in continuous exchange with our business partners, in order to evaluate the evolution of your needs.

With this announcement, I wish to inform you that from April the 14th, WESSLING France will gradually resume the activity of its environmental analysis laboratory at its Lyon site.

Indeed, with a reduced workforce and the right personal protective equipment (PPE), we can meet the requirements of infection protection within our company. The team work in the laboratory is made up on a voluntary basis. Its size will be progressively adapted to the activity of our partners - employee protection and agility will be the guiding principles that we will follow until the full resumption of activity.

Please note that during this period, we cannot guarantee the usual analytical turnaround times. Nevertheless, we will do our best to keep them to a minimum. For urgent analyses, please contact your personal customer account manager to define the details.

In order to accompany this gradual resumption, we will also, as of April the 14th:

  • Restart the sample collection organized by our logistic partners (UPS,…)
  • Again receive your samples on our sites in Lyon and Lille. You can send us your samples and they will be processed as quick as possible.

Our Parisian laboratories located in Villebon-sur-Yvette (91) remain available as they have been since the beginning of the pandemic.

We, the management team composed of Jean-François CAMPENS, Frédéric JEAMPIERRE (Lyon), David HARDY (Paris) and David PARIS (Lille), remain at your disposal.

In order to stop the spread of the coronavirus and limit its impact on our employees and trade, we also depend on the responsibility of our partners such as our customers and suppliers. We therefore count on our mutual responsibility to ensure that similar measures are put in place and rigorously applied.

We will continue to keep you informed of the measures taken as well as further developments.

Dear partners, this period is not easy for anyone and we are all facing new situations. We thank you for your understanding and your trust . We wish you all the best.

“Prenez-soin de vous”

Jean-François CAMPENS
Manager WESSLING France

17.03.2020

Dear partners, customers and suppliers,

The unprecedented news related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) spares no one and we are all impacted by it. In order to limit the spread of the virus and to protect our employees and partners as best we can, we had previously taken responsible measures.

Following the announcement made by the President of the French Republic on Monday, March 16th, 2020, and in order to reinforce the security of our teams and to comply with national directives, we are adapting these measures.

  • First of all we would like to announce that our Parisian laboratory located in Villebon-sur-Yvette (91) will continue its activity for analyses on alcohols and derived products and microbiological analyses (food, cosmetics, legionella, air); analyses necessary for the good functioning of the daily life of the French people already largely impacted.
Being able to arrange the work of our collaborators in such a way that they can respect the sanitary and hygiene measures in these laboratories, we continue to accompany you in order to allow the food safety of the French people. Indeed, our microbiological and alcohol analysis laboratories play an important role in the supply chain of vital foodstuffs and we are honoured by the trust placed in us by the French authorities in this context.
  • We then inform you, that we will suspend the activity of our environmental laboratory located on the Lyon site from Saturday 21st March 2020, until further notice.
  • In order to accompany this logic we will suspend, as of March 17th, the sample collections organized by WESSLING and our logistic partners (UPS etc.).
  • From March 17th, samples received on our Lyon or Lille site will no longer be processed. Please note not to send us any more samples.

Would you like to contact us?
Our teams of dedicated customer service representatives and sales representatives in Lyon are available by telephone and e-mail until the evening of Friday 21st of March.
After this date, the management team composed of Jean-François CAMPENS, Frédéric JEAMPIERRE, David HARDY and David PARIS will be at your disposal.
Your dedicated contacts for food analysis and buildings will remain at your disposal as usual.

As soon as the situation stabilizes and we are sure that a resumption will be possible while guaranteeing the safety of our collaborators and partners, we will resume the activity of our laboratories as soon as possible. We will then continue to offer you the quality and dedicated service you know and appreciate.

In order to stop the spread of the coronavirus and limit its impact on our employees and our trade, we also depend on the responsibility of our partners (customers, suppliers). We therefore count on our mutual responsibility to ensure that similar measures are put in place and rigorously applied.

We will continue to keep you informed of the measures taken and developments.

Yours sincerely,

Jean-François CAMPENS

13.03.2020

Dear partners, customers and suppliers,

We all follow the news on the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are aware that it has a major impact on our daily lives.

As a service provider, our aim is to be able to respond to all your orders and requests while protecting the health of our employees and partners.

This is why I would like to personally inform you of the measures we have taken to continue our activity for all our national and international customers and thus limit the impact of COVID-19. This business continuity plan is based on the recommendations of the French authorities as well as those of the WHO.

To protect the health of our employees and business partners, we have taken the measures we inform our employees of through internal emails and displays.

The following hygiene and behavioural measures have been taken:

  • Obligation to respect the hygiene measures of the authorities: limiting contact between employees as much as possible ; disinfection products are available and their use is mandatory for hands and touched objects ; a safety distance of one meter must be respected in any cases ; presence of gloves and masks for the employees of the laboratory.
  • Obligation for all our employees who are able to work remotely to do so. We have equipped our employees with the necessary equipment for this task (telephones, computers and the necessary connections). This concerns our entire sales department and a large part of our support services: customer service, administration, IT, accounting, marketing, human resources.
Please be reassured, we already have a proven track record of relocating some of our activities and will do our best to provide the same quality of service that you are used to.
  • The laboratory managers will also have to work from home to process the analysis results and will be able to communicate by videoconference with their teams within the laboratories.
  • We have identified all employees who have to stay at home for childcare or fragile health reasons (less than 20% of the workforce) and have redistributed daily tasks accordingly.
  • We limit contact with customers, suppliers and visitors. To this end, we have suspended all business travel and encourage internal and external videoconferences from all WESSLING sites. We have also cancelled events and suspended all planned visits and training on our premises. Training for our employees that was not essential for safety reasons on the job has also been postponed.

You can continue to reach us by phone and e-mail. We remain at your entire disposal for via these means of communication.

The capacities of our laboratories are not currently impacted by the situation and all our services remain available and of high quality, without interruption.

In order to stop the spread of the coronavirus and limit its impact on our employees and our commercial exchanges, we also depend on the responsibility of our partners (customers, suppliers). We therefore count on our mutual responsibility to ensure that similar measures are put in place and rigorously applied.

We will continue to keep you informed of the measures taken and developments. Your dedicated contact persons remain at your disposal for any questions you may have.

Yours sincerely,

Jean-François CAMPENS
