GTPA pertaining to waste: how to reduce the General Tax on Polluting Activities?

As a cement manufacturer, do you want to pay less GTPA? Have your waste analysed by our laboratory to determine the biogenic carbon content of the CO2 emitted.

GTPA (General Tax on Polluting Activities) paid by cement manufacturers increases each year. In 2022, the rate is approximately €50/tCO2. You can reduce GTPA by determining the biogenic carbon content of the CO2 emitted during combustion.

Determination of biogenic carbon content:

To determine the biogenic carbon content, we carry out the appropriate analyses in our laboratory, situated in the Isère department in France.

We can use three methods and perform the analyses according to the EN 15440 standard or, since 1 January 2021, ISO 21644.

The resulting report clearly indicates how much you will be able to deduct from your carbon tax bill.

Please contact us directly if you are interested in determining the biogenic carbon content of your COor waste.
