To ensure the safety and protect the health of patients or consumers "cleanrooms" are a key issue for health services, as well as the pharmaceutical and the food industry.
According to ISO 14644-1:2015, a cleanroom is "a room within which the number concentration of airborne particles is controlled and classified, and which is designed, constructed and operated in a manner to control the introduction, generation and retention of particles inside the room". In hospitals, food production or the production of pharmaceutical products particle and microbiological control is therefore a key element in the control of cleanrooms that must be constantly monitored.
In the current unprecedented context strongly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, WESSLING continues to carry out microbiological analyses on air and surface samples. WESSLING experts remain at the disposal of the partners to respond to all requests for intervention in these fields. In this way, the family-owned company is a link in the necessary supply chain to maintain the country's vital activities.
To continue the activity of the microbiological and alcohol laboratories at the WESSLING site in Paris, numerous measures have been taken to ensure the health and safety of the company's employees.
Workstations in the laboratory have been set up to enable employees to maintain a minimum distance of two meters from each other; each employee is given a new mask, clean gloves and other necessary PPE on a daily basis.
In addition, the WESSLING Group has given clear instructions regarding barrier gestures and hygiene rules to be respected. They are repeated daily and the management ensures that they are strictly applied in order to do everything possible to limit the spread of the virus and to ensure the health and safety of the employees.
